The Madera River is a river in the south of the Iberian Peninsula belonging to the Segura river basin that runs entirely through the eastern territory of the province of Jaén. The Madera River originates under the Calar del Espino, in the municipality of Orcera, within the natural park of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas. It flows through a rugged topography of about 18 km in a north-south direction through dense pine forests until it merges with the Segura River at the height of the town of Huelga Utrera, in the municipality of Santiago-Pontones.
