Requejada is a town belonging to the municipality of Polanco, in the north of the autonomous community of Cantabria. It is one kilometer northwest of Polanco, on the A-67 highway. It was precisely during the construction of this highway that the Palaeolithic archaeological site, called "El Hondal", was located, which is currently considered destroyed. The town had 1694 inhabitants in 2020, spread across the neighborhoods of Alcantarillas Altas, Alegría, Carretera General, Casucas, Estación, La Fuente, La Jerra, Las Viñas and San José. The altitude of this village is 17 meters. Celebrate the festivities of San José on March 19. [1]
