Angostura de Tormes or La Angostura is a village of the municipality of Zapardiel de la Ribera in the province of Ávila, Castilla y León. Located on the northern slope of the Sierra de Gredos, in the Alto Tormes Valley, it is situated at an altitude of 1200 meters. The locality is located on the AV-941, 17 km from El Barco de Ávila and 18 km from Hoyos del Espino, at the foot of the mountains within the Sierra de Gredos Regional Park and along the banks of the Tormes River. It is a starting point for numerous routes towards the peaks and lagoons of Gredos.[citation needed]
