The Avencs de la Febró are a set of cracks open in the Serra de la Mussara, within the municipality of Febró. Formed by three main cracks, oriented north-south and parallel to the cliff, the most prominent has a maximum length of about 290 meters, 35 meters deep, and between 3-6 meters wide. Inside, there are two caves and other smaller cavities, one quite large of karst origin, which was filled with stalactites that were torn out to build the farmhouse of Macià Vilà in Reus. Smugglers hid there and, according to tradition, General Joan Prim in 1843.
