The ante-church of Axpe Marzana has been since 1962 a neighborhood of the Biscayan municipality of Achondo, in the Basque Country, and is part of the Duranguesado comarca.
Until the date of its merger with the other ante-churches that formed Achondo, Arrazola, and Apatamonasterio, it was an independent municipality and in the times of the Merindad of Durango, it was part of the Juntas with voice and vote.
