Church of Vega de Acusa

In 1675 a small church was built nearby, the Hermitage of Candelaria. This new religious space not only served as a place of worship, but also became, as was the tradition at the time, a cemetery for the residents of the area. Almost three centuries later, in the 1960s, a dam was built to collect rainwater, water for people, animals and agriculture. The former church was located in the area where the lake would come. A statue of Christ, a statue of Mary, the cross and the doors were preserved and reused in the current church. The car can be parked at the church.
