The Velázquez Avenue is a road that crosses the districts of Carretera de Cádiz and Churriana in Málaga, Spain. This avenue gets its name from the urban road that runs through the western area of the city almost parallel to the coastline, continuing from Héroe Sostoa Street and further on, the stretch of urban highway MA-21 that ends in the municipality of Torremolinos, from where this road takes the name of Manuel Fraga Iribarne Avenue. This road was previously known as Carretera de Cádiz until it changed its name to the current one in honor of the painter Diego Velázquez due to a major exhibition held in the city. The urban part together with the highway stretches a length of 7 kilometers.
