The Cova del Pont is located in the Serralada Litoral Park; specifically, in Vilassar de Dalt. Located at Recers, we descend about 60 meters south. Coordinates: x=445297 y=4597759 z=380. UTM: 31 N - 445195- 4597552.
It is a small, natural cave, possibly funerary, consisting of a natural pile of rocks that shape two spaces below. There is little archaeological stratification due to its rocky configuration and it has not been studied in depth. It was excavated in the 1970s by the group of Jaume Ventura, along with the Archaeological Group of Vilassar de Dalt. Handmade ceramic with incisions, rough-walled pottery, a handle, and a slate axe 15 cm long and 1 cm thick were found there. The presence of a burial was also detected. This material is displayed at the Vilassar de Dalt Museum-Archive. It is dated from the Neolithic to the Early Bronze Age.
