An absolutely beautiful and well maintained park on the north side of Cadiz. It is small, but with numerous fountains , statues and an amazing variety of flora and fauna, including two giant ficus trees that come from Cuba . You also have a beautiful view of the ocean and can take a break from the sun in the shade of the trees.
This urban park is named after the Carvia Bernal Sisters , promoters of Spanish women 's suffrage . In the 1920s they founded the Spanish League for the Progress of Women.
One of the sisters, Amalia, was awarded the Knight's Badge of the Order of the Republic for all her achievements. She is the only woman to achieve this.
