The Plaza de San Juan de Dios has been a very unique and beloved square for centuries, which served as the Plaza Mayor and is very close to one of the city gates (today's Arco del Pópulo).
While strolling through the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, several interesting buildings stand out, such as the Church of San Juan de Dios , which belonged to the old Misericordia Hospital. The town hall was also built here in the 16th century. Very remarkable is also the Casa de los Pazos Miranda , with its pink facade.
Also in the square is a statue dedicated to Moret , a well-known politician from Cádiz. The palm trees and fountains give the square a very special touch.
