The Salvatierra Palace is a building whose decoration is based on a unique baroque facade organized around a pair of Corinthian columns flanking the wide, lisened door, above which is an ornate stone frieze leading to a balcony that closes through a beautiful iron grille .
The most striking element of this passage is the group of four Inca statues that, in the manner of the Atlanteans of classical architecture, have a straight pediment above their heads, in the center of which is the coat of arms of the initiators of this building.
The interior contains a valuable collection of furniture and decorative and artistic objects of great quality, such as carvings and paintings.
The house also has a garden at the back, from which there are far- reaching views over the Sierra de las Nieves mountain range, and in the immediate vicinity also the remains of the town's ancient medieval walls and the Arab baths.
