The House-Palace Matrera Abajo is located a few meters from the House-Palace Garcia de Veas, between the Matrera Gate and the Former Monastery of the Franciscan Order (Maria Auxiliadora Church) in the Barrio Bajo of Arcos de la Frontera.
The property belonged to the Veas family. The main facade has a stone doorway topped by a stone heraldic shield corresponding to the lineage of Garcia de la Zarza Real de Veas. The interior , accessed via a corridor, retains the original carpeting and appears to be arranged around a central courtyard with two galleries , the first floor of which stands out for its eight semicircular arches resting on marble columns.
