The Church of Santa Ana is a temple of the Catholic Church that was built in the 1950s.
The altar has a mural created by the artist Luis Gonzalo González.
The church is the headquarters of the brotherhood of Candelaria. In 1958 the first procession continues, with only the statue of Veronica and Jesus with the cross. In 1969 Our Lady of Candelaria paraded under a canopy for the first time.
In the paso de misterio , Jesus appears with the cross along the Via de la Amargura, where the holy woman Veronica wipes Jesus' face while a Roman soldier insists he continue, after which Simon of Cyrene helps the Lord lift the weight of his cross while the daughters of Jerusalem cry disconsolately.
In the second pasos , Our Lady of Candelaria appears under a canopy.
The procession continues on Maundy Monday, the Monday after Palm Sunday.
On the outer wall of the church are images depicted in the procession.
In Jerez, six processions a week pass through the streets along the official route to the cathedral.
The church is also one of the stork breeding grounds in the city.
