The Castle of Priego de Córdoba is an Arab fortress , reformed in the 13th and 14th centuries, after the Christian Reconquest.
It had mainly a military character , it is sober, as befits the defensive structures.
It is formed by a walled perimeter , flanked by quadrangular towers and a cylindrical tower . At the main entrance there is an access corridor with two pointed horseshoe arches
Mentioning where is keep, also known as Torre Gorda. He is on the parade ground and is 30 m high , although part of it is now semi-underground.
