The Santo Domingo de Guzman Church is located in the Plaza Alcalde José González (Square), in front of the City Hall , near the Gardens of the Palace of Los Ribera and the Castle Palace of Ribera.
We know for sure that the church was built around the XVth or XVIth century , thanks to the preserved documents, including those of 1559, in which Hernán Ruiz (head master of the Cathedral of Seville) committed to the removal of the four structural pillars of the building .
The Santo Domingo de Guzman church has a rectangular floor with three naves and a transept , flanked by side chapels such as the Tabernacle , where the village's patron saint , the Virgen Del Rosario is venerated, and the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno chapel.
The main facade is characterized by its architectural clarity, divided into two floors and crowned with a triangular facade with a tile of the main statue. To the right of the entrance door, a tombstone has been preserved, reflecting the existence of relics of some saints such as Santo Tome or Santa Afra.
Next to the facade is the bell tower, 31 meters high, built in 1792 and with a ceramic decoration on the bells.
