This is the terminus of the underground aqueduct of Villaluenga del Rosario.

The wells of the qanat ( four large ones and 16 smaller ones ) can be seen about 800 m from the road to Grazalema, parallel to the road and the Albarrán stream.
This is a qanat (underground aqueduct) from the Islamic period, probably the best preserved in the Iberian Peninsula.

Centuries ago, the fountain and its qanat guaranteed the water supply of Villaluenga del Rosario, although it has now fallen into disuse and the fountain and its qanat are no longer functional and no longer provide water. The current wells and troughs were built between 1871 and 1873 , although an aqueduct had already existed before then.

The trajectory of the qanat can be followed through the 4 major pits and the other 16 smaller ones, covering a distance of 1 km , from the area known as La Mina to Villaluenga.
