Olvera, this charming fairytale village, is situated on the steep plains of the Grazalema Mountains , surrounded by olive trees.
It is a pretty white village (White Village) with a towering cathedral with a castle at its center visible from afar. Olvera is one of the most characteristic towns of the Serra de Cádiz, where you can enjoy the tranquility and beauty !
Olvera was even declared a Center of “Artistic and Historical Interest” by the Spanish government in 1983.
The town rises 643 meters above sea level and offers exceptional views of the surrounding mountains, farmland and olive groves.
A kind of settlement has existed here for more than two thousand years . And from the relics found on site, we know that human life has thrived in this area since the Palaeolithic (12,000 years ago!!).
