Built in 1685 by Don Diego de Barrios, admiral of the Indian fleet, it is one of the most important examples of Native American sailor houses surviving in the city. It consists of three parts , crowned by two watchtowers , which can be counted among the oldest surviving ones in the area.
It is famous for its large Baroque facade in red Genoese marble , composed of two parts: the lower part frames the entrance with leaning Tuscan columns ; The second part consists of Solomonic columns that frame the central balcony, on which there is a large vaulted pediment with the Barrio family coat of arms.
