Plaza de Flores - Cadiz - Andalusia

This square is very lively , especially during the famous and traditional carnival celebrations. During the Carnival period, this square, along with Plaça de la Libertat , is the center of various street shows by the carnival gangs.

Plaça de les Flores consists of an impressive triangular and elongated urban space . In 1930 the post and telegraph building was inaugurated, replacing the church of the Descalzos monastery that had disappeared , thus closing the Plaça de les Flores. This building is made of brick with glazed ceramic decorative elements, contrasting with the traditional architecture of the area. This building is also an eclectic regionalist work.

One of the highlights of the square are the flower stalls that line both sides of the square, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
