The origins of the Church of La Palma are linked to the Capuchin Order , in particular to the public rosaries made by Brother Pablo de Cadiz in the late 17th century God of the Palm. is the eldest
This image is traditionally attributed to the miraculous retention of water as it rushed towards the church during the tragic flood of November 1, 1755, an event commemorated on the public altarpiece.
The baroque building dates from the mid-18th century and has a circular plan . The facade is framed by Carrer de la Palma and has a rectangular front flanked by Tuscan pilasters . On the left stands the square tower , decorated with pilasters and crowned by a spire with 18th-century Sevillian tiles .
The inner altarpiece is a neoclassical work created in 1855, incorporating elements of an earlier Rococo structure. It houses the small statue of Our Lady of the Palm, a polychrome sculpture from the late 17th century.
At the entrance to the chapel is a small alabaster stoup with a relief of Mount Calvary, an Italian work of the 17th century.
