Located at one end of the city's Caleta Beach, Paseo Fernando Quiñones de Cádiz consists of a long and narrow path that crosses the sea like an isthmus , connecting the mainland to the nearby Castle of San Sebastià , which occupies the End. the promenade.
The walk starts from a small building in the form of an atrium at the entrance between two entrance arches - the first of which is known as the Porta de la Caleta - on one side are some old outbuildings currently being remodeled for the General. Services of La Caleta Beach, which has its main entrance here.
The walk then continues in a broken line to the entrance of the Castle and is protected from the sea water on either side by large stone clusters , making it a very tranquil and sensual walk .
Next to the first entrance arch is the statue that the City Council of Cádiz dedicated to its owner Fernando Quiñones, an important 20th-century writer who gave his name to the promenade and who spent much of his life in this city , where he wrote some of his most important wrote stories.
