There are small gardens in front of the Palace of the Count of Puerto Hermoso. In these public gardens is a bust of Father Luis Coloma from 1919.
This bronze monument was created by the Valencian Ramón Chaveli Carreres, born in Alzira and based in Jerez de la Frontera, where he became one of the most important sculptors of saints of the early 20th century . For this reason he was chosen to portray one of the most important figures in Jerez's recent history.
Luis Coloma has entered the collective memory not because of his work as a Jesuit but because of his literary work, in particular his novel "Pequeñeces" in which he draws some of the most famous popular characters . Among them the tooth fairy.
