Near the church of San Andrés is the small square of the same name, with this charming baroque fountain in the middle. The water flows from four spouts in the upper part and finally falls into the octagonal base .
According to the records, the fountain was built in 1664 in front of the Plaza del Salvador , and moved to its current site two centuries later . Until 1813, a coat of arms with an eagle, the symbol of the French Empire , stood on the top, but this was destroyed to erase the memory of Napoleon Bonaparte .
