In the gardens of the Puerta de Baeza is a fountain that was built in 1748 when Don Fernando Valdés Quirós was Corregidor of the city.
The fountain, also known as Fuente del Campo Madre de Dios , was supplied with water from the sources of the Pedroches stream called La Palma.
The Baeza Gate was part of the walled perimeter of the city and is outside the city walls, and was demolished in 1868.
