The school was founded in 1942 and its main goal is research into the history of America.
An important aspect entrusted to the EEHA from its inception was the promotion of scientific contact and cultural exchange between American researchers on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean . This work has been in charge of the many different activities that the center has carried out to date, and the residence available to the institution contributes to this.
