The Casa del Flamenco, whose original construction dates back to the 15th century , underwent its most important renovation in the 17th century, when it belonged to the illustrious Sevillian figure Justino de Neve, canon of Seville Cathedral.
A flamenco show with personality is performed every evening in the courtyard of this house-palace. The marble arches and columns, the vaulted ceilings and traditional tiles, the scent of flowers and the legacy of almost six centuries of history create a unique atmosphere to enjoy the best flamenco in Seville.
The acoustics of the hall are also privileged, as there are no microphones and amplifiers, making the sound more natural and authentic. Moreover, the audience is very close to the stage, so they can feel the tap of the heel in all its intensity. The atmosphere, the light, the bond with the artists... every detail infects the audience with the flamenco duende, making the show a unique experience.
In addition to the traditional flamenco performances that take place there every evening, the Alcántara Auditorium is open for the occasional programming of other activities: adult theater, children's theater, conferences, workshops, exhibitions and concerts.
Your experience at La Casa del Flamenco doesn't have to end when the show is over. When the lights go out, you can spend the night in the comfortable and modern rooms of Hotel Alcántara, whose facilities include La Casa del Flamenco.
