Seville and the generation of '27

With this monument, Seville pays tribute to the group of poets known as the generation of '27.

The monument is made with white Macael marble and green slate. The design was carried out by architect Antonio Barrionuevo Ferrer. The fountain symbolizes the birth of a river that makes its way through the falls and on the upper platform a reclining and naked woman, the work of César Portela, who represents the muse that inspires every poet.
