The Cathedral of Seville (Catedral de Santa María de la Sede) is built in the form of a five-aisled cruciform church with chapels and is 127 metres long, 83 metres wide and 43 metres high on the inside.
This makes it the largest church building in Europe after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and St. Paul's Cathedral in London, and also the largest Gothic church building in the world. The Giralda, the 104.5-metre-high bell tower of the cathedral, is the landmark of the city of Seville.
The Cathedral of Seville has an exceptionally rich inventory . Since 1987 it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
