GR-3. Stage 05. Àger-Sant Esteve de la Sarga

Stage 05 of the GR-3, which connects Àger with Sant Esteve de la Sarga, offers a unique experience for hiking enthusiasts in Catalonia. Its history dates back to the 11th century, and although it is currently in ruins, its structure still reflects the strategic importance it had in its time. As you progress along the route, you will encounter the Collegiate Church of San Pedro de Àger, another important historical monument. This church, dating from the 11th century, is a prominent example of Romanesque art in Catalonia. Its architecture and rich history make it a point of interest for visitors, who can appreciate the details of its construction and the beauty of its surroundings.
