GR-12. Stage 07. Collado Azpegi-Port Iturzaeta

Stage 07 of the GR-12, which runs from Collado Azpegi to Puerto Iturzaeta, is a challenging 31-kilometer traverse that crosses the stunning landscapes of Navarra. This route, classified as of extreme difficulty, offers hikers the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the Pyrenees, with a total elevation gain of 1843 meters. During the trail, walkers will encounter the Leherra Murkhuillako Lepoua, a slope that stands out for its unique geography and biodiversity. Continuing towards the Puerto de Larrau, located at 1578 meters above sea level, hikers cross a mountain pass that marks the border between France and Spain.
