PR-TE-014.B. Torrevelilla-Carmelite Convent of the Barefoot Carmelites

The PR-TE-014.B route, known as Torrevelilla-Convento Carmelitas Descalzas, extends for 6.0 kilometers through the beautiful Ebro Valley, offering a medium-difficulty hiking experience. Along this route, hikers immerse themselves in a natural landscape characterized by gentle hills and panoramic views that invite reflection. One of the most notable points of interest on this trail is the Convento del Desierto de Calanda, a large Baroque building that, although currently in ruins, evokes the history and spirituality of the region. Located 12 kilometers from the village, this convent is a testament to the area's religious past, and access can be challenging due to the multiple crossroads that must be crossed. The route has a total elevation change of 186 meters, allowing hikers to enjoy a variety of landscapes and the opportunity to observe local flora and fauna.
