SL-C-144. The Valley of Sant Jeroni de la Murta

The SL-C-144 route, known as La Vall de Sant Jeroni de la Murta, extends for 7.8 kilometers along the beautiful Costa del Maresme, offering a medium-difficulty hiking experience. This route, which features an elevation gain of 178 meters, is ideal for those looking to enjoy nature and explore the cultural heritage of the region. Along the route, hikers will have the opportunity to discover two important farmhouses that reflect the local history. The first is Ca l'Alemany, an ancient farmhouse located in the Canyet neighborhood of Badalona, in the valley of Betlem or Sant Jeroni. This place is near the hill of Montigalà, halfway between the city and the monastery of Sant Jeroni de la Murtra, a site that adds significant historical and cultural value to the hike. Another relevant stop is the Torre Codina, a farmhouse and fortified house also located in Badalona. This building is protected as a Local Cultural Heritage Good, highlighting its importance in the area's history.
