From the Nou to the Sobrepuny

Description

We start the route in front of the civic center of La Nou and take the GR 241 that goes along the road from La Nou to Malanyeu heading north. Just at the last house of the village, we leave the road to take a small path on the right that descends to a spring. We climb to Cal Patsi and continue along a trail that winds through the forest, making zigzags. At one point, this path becomes a little-used cart track that we continue to follow. The GR leaves the path a few meters later, but we continue on, now without following any marks, until we find a trail that, on the left, leads us to the clearing before Caselles. The beginning of this trail has red markings along with letters that say "Sobrepuño" at the entrance.

We don't need to reach Casillas. We see it above on the left. We continue downwards until we find the stream and the spring of Caselles. The spring is on the right, below the path. Just before reaching the stream, we need to take a track on the left, upwards. A little further ahead, we have two options: continue straight on a path that returns to the bed of the stream or follow a logging path. In both cases, we will come out at a very round curve. At this point, we should now follow the path to the right, with red marks, to the source of Faig.

After the source of Faig, we find a ridge and turn to the right. A little further on, we connect with a path and with the PR-C 199. We must follow the PR to the right, which leads to a pass very close to Sobrepuny.

Once we reach the top, we need to continue downhill to the north until we find a pass where we will leave the PR. The PR goes to the right and we have to continue straight, on a well-graded path that will take us to the Plana group.

Once at the Collada de Plana, we reconnect with the PR and the GR. We must follow them to the left. We pass a large clearing and, a little further down, the PR deviates to the left. We continue on the main track, on the GR that will take us back to La Nou.
