From Benidorm, you ascend via the climb of Puerto de Finestrat to Finestrat. Then follows the long climb to the top of Puerto de Tudons. After the descent, you go down towards Guadalest. What many people do not know is that you can take secondary paved roads on the left and right of the main road CV-70, which adds extra elevation. There are three on this route:
- to the village of Abdet (note: for a length of 150 m you have a gravel road), the climb is called Tossal de Florent,
- between Benifato and Benimantell,
- the beautiful road (well paved) around the Guadalest reservoir.
P.S. from Abdet there is also a secondary road to the reservoir, but Google Street View images show that a part of this road is quite bad. But it might still be worth taking this road.

Finally, you climb from the reservoir to the beautiful place Guadalest, which is built on rocks. And then follows the long descent over a very wide, excellently paved road (this climb is known as Alto de Turron Duro). Here you can try to break your speed record.

If you do not take the three secondary roads and therefore continuously follow the CV-70, the route will be about 16 kilometers shorter.
