Via busy roads, the route heads towards Polop. Then, the Alto de Turron Duro is climbed, but not all the way to the top. Via a secondary road through the hamlet of Gines (where the road condition is less good in some spots), there is a descent to Rio Guadelest.
Next, there is an ascent towards Guadalest, but not entirely to the picturesque village: you turn right towards the dam of Embalse de Guadalest. You cycle around the reservoir and then comes the climax: a 7.2 km long climb to Font de Partagas, with many sections steeper than 20%. Be careful because part of the way you will have to descend back down the same road, and the road condition can be described as poor. Finally, you head back towards Benidorm via the CV-70.
