The old gravel road to the abandoned mines of Parzan is one of the highest, fairly easily navigable roads in the Pyrenees. The last part, up to the beautiful viewpoint Pico de Liena, must be done on foot. Start and finish at the Bielsa campsite. You depart at about 1000m altitude, the highest point is just above 2600m, in other words, you need to conquer 1600m of elevation, with at times steep passages. Bring enough food and especially water, as it can get very warm on these slopes during the height of summer. To avoid the unlit tunnel between Bielsa and Parzan, you can drive to Parzan and start your MTB ride from there. You can also park past the tunnel, on the side of the road, and start your bike ride from there.
