Girona: Classic Coastal Road Climbs

This is a classic long road bike cycling route, for amateurs and pros alike in Girona. 110km of riding and over 1300m of climbing, it is an expert-level ride, but made easier for the incredible views. It includes the coastal road between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guixols, often written up as "one of the most beautiful roads on the planet", which clings to the side of the reddish cliffs over the Mediterranean, and gives you a choice of seaside esplanade cafés and restaurants to choose from for a meal or coffee. The roads in and out of Girona are pretty and rural, with high-quality pavement, and many medieval stone villages as backdrop.
