This short stage takes us from Oña to Burgos, the medieval capital of the Kingdom of Castile. The route is short so you have time in the afternoon to visit the city, including the beautiful cathedral.
The route takes you from the mountains around Oña to the plateau, the Spanish plateau, where arable land alternates with wild heights. What is immediately noticeable is the amplitude. The mountains in the distance are soon several tens of kilometers away.
Don't underestimate the difficulty of this route. You have to climb quite a bit here.
