Girona - Banyoles. Road cycling Catalonia

CB (Costa Brava): Route 2

Leave Girona, heading north towards the Baix Empordà, and you are soon on small country roads, riding through many medieval stone-built villages. At 55km you arrive at Banyoles, where you can visit the lake, famous for the rowing in the Barcelona Olympics and a great place for a coffee or snack stop. This is a rolling route, with many short ups and downs.
