Musée Grobet-Labadié

After Louis Grobet's death in 1917, Marie Grobet bequeathed the private mansion and all the collection it housed to the city of Marseille.
Reflecting the tastes of a refined bourgeois society, fascinated and seduced by all forms of art, the French collections assembled in the second half of the 19th century admirably illustrate the artistic electicism of the " enlightened " connoisseurs of that time.
The XVIII th century occupied a major part in collections of the museum however High middle age, the Rebirth and XIX centrury are also represented.

Guided public tours on saturdays and sundays at 3 pm.
On appointment for groups.
Worshops for children during holidays.
Library opened to public, on wednesdays and fridays all day long .
On thursday afternoons on appointment.
Museum welcome scolarship groups for on reservations.
