Above the village stands a castle from the 12th century belonging to the bishops of Vaison la Romaine. The bishops sought refuge there when the conflict with the Count of Toulouse flared up again. Today, the castle is privately owned, so we cannot visit it. But the village has other attractions such as the church of St. Sauveur, which appears to be supported by the surrounding houses.
The medieval village has been taken over by wealthy foreigners, but it still retains its charm. With our bikes in hand, we walk along the cobblestones through the alleyways.
After that, we hop back on the bike and race down at breakneck speed. We now cross the main road and fifty meters further, we turn right.
