The famed Paris Olympia concert hall is where Piaf achieved lasting fame, giving several series of concerts at the hall between January 1955 and October 1962. Excerpts from five of these concerts (1955, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962) were issued on record and CD and have never been out of print. In April 1963, Piaf recorded her last song, 'L'homme de Berlin'. Paris Olympia is a music hall at 28, Blvd. des Capucines, in the 9th arrondissement Paris, France. Inaugurated by the biggest star in France at the time, singer/dancer La Goulue, the venue has showcased a wide variety of performers, from French acts like Yvonne Printemps, Charles Aznavour, Gilbert Bécaud and Johnny Hallyday, to international stars like Dir en grey, Nelly Furtado, Stevie Nicks, Fairuz, Morrissey, Nick Cave, Lola Beltran, Amália Rodrigues, Tereza Kesovija, Céline Dion, Umm Kulthum, Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, The Beatles, Bülent Ersoy, Luciano Pavarotti, Diana Krall and the Rolling Stones.
