Saint-Vaury is a French municipality located in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The climate that characterizes the municipality is qualified, in 2010, as a "marginal montargnard climate," according to the climate typology of France which then counted eight major types of climates in the metropolitan area. In 2020, the municipality falls under the "mountain climate" type in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only considers five major types of climates in the metropolitan area at first glance. For this type of climate, the temperature decreases rapidly depending on altitude. There is minimal cloud cover in winter and maximum in summer. Winds and precipitation vary significantly depending on the location.
