Saint-Hilaire-Taurieux is a French commune located in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The climate that characterizes the commune is classified, in 2010, as "altered oceanic climate," according to the climate typology of France, which then counts eight main types of climates in the mainland. In 2020, the commune falls under the same type of climate in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only lists five main types of climates in the mainland at first glance. It is a transitional zone between the oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Precipitation is lower than at the seaside, except near the reliefs.
