Saint-Martial-de-Gimel

Saint-Martial-de-Gimel is a French commune located in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The climate that characterizes the commune was classified in 2010 as "altered oceanic climate," according to the classification of climates in France, which then counted eight major types of climates in the mainland. In 2020, the commune falls under the same type of climate in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only counts five major types of climates in the mainland at first glance. It is a transition zone between the oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Rainfall is lower than at the seaside, except near the reliefs.
