Saint-Xandre [sɛ̃ sɑ̃dʁ] is a French commune located in the Charente-Maritime department. Situated in the Aunis plain, 7 km northeast of La Rochelle, the commune includes, in addition to the town center, the hamlets, villages, or places called La Sauzaie, Trente Vents to the northeast, L'Aubreçay to the west, La Ribotelière, and Romagné. The last two places are now merged with the central town due to linear urbanization. The village of Saint-Xandre itself has gradually expanded to the municipal boundary with Puilboreau, which is only a few hundred meters away.
