Burnhaupt-le-Haut is a municipality in the suburban crown of Mulhouse located in the administrative district of Haut-Rhin and, since January 1, 2021, in the territory of the European Collectivity of Alsace, in the Grand Est region.
Burnhaupt-le-Haut is part of the Thann-Guebwiller district, the canton, and the Masevaux valley. Located just a few hundred meters from the bed of the Doller at the gateway to Sundgau, it has a road and motorway junction placing the municipality in an ideal position.
Cernay is 9 km away, Thann 13 km, Masevaux 14 km, Mulhouse 16 km. The village of Burnhaupt-le-Haut is three kilometers from the industrial area of Pont d'Aspach and very close to the A36 expressway connecting Strasbourg-Colmar-Sélestat-Mulhouse-Belfort-Lyon.
