Taissy is a municipality in the French department of Marne and has 2,190 inhabitants. The place is part of the arrondissement of Reims. In 1359, during the Hundred Years' War, all buildings in Taissy and also in neighboring hamlets were destroyed by the French in preparation for the siege of Reims by the English army. In January 1360, the English lifted the siege due to a lack of supplies. The population of the hamlets around the city had fled.
