Plaisance is a place and a municipality in southern France with 218 inhabitants in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region. It belongs to the Millau arrondissement and the Causses-Rougiers canton. The inhabitants are called Plaisançais. Plaisance is located about 38 kilometers east of Albi in the southwest of the historical province of Rouergue on the Rance River, where the mostly dried-up tributary Gos flows underground. Plaisance is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Coupiac to the north and east, Balaguier-sur-Rance to the south, Curvalle to the west, and La Bastide-Solages to the northwest.
