Mairieux is a French commune located in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region.
The commune of Mairieux lies halfway between Maubeuge to the south and the Belgian border to the north. The commune is made up of two residential nuclei, former lordships: to the east, Mairieux, where the town hall, school, and church are located. And to the west, on the road to Mons, La Grisoelle. Two outlying areas: Héron-Fontaine, a former lordship, to the west of La Grisoelle, and Saint-Pierre-d'Hautmont, a former farmstead of Hautmont, to the north of Mairieux.
